EVANSTON, Ill. -

Mike Kimberlin (Bradley, Ill./Bishop McNamara) of the wrestling team and Brielle Bovee (Winter Park, Fla./Lake Highland Prep) of the swimming and diving team took home this week's Hilton Garden Inn Athlete of the Week honors. Both student-athletes were recognized for their athletic competition from the week of Nov. 4.

Kimberlin paced the Wildcats this weekend at the Michigan State Open. The sophomore placed third at 157 pounds after winning seven consecutive matches for a 7-1 mark on the weekend. Kimberlin was knocked out of the championship bracket in a first-round loss Saturday, but he ran the table the rest of the way. He was one of five Wildcats to place.

Bovee swept both of the breaststoke events in two separate dual meets last weekend. Bovee won the 100 breast in 1:04.64 and the 200 in 2:18.85 in a dual meet against Purdue and Pittsburgh Friday. She followed up the effort by winning both events the following day against Indiana. Bovee defeated the field in the 100 breast in a time of 1:04.45 and captured the 200 title in 2:18.90.
