Erik Ciotti Named Assistant Men's Golf Coach

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern men's golf coach Pat Goss has announced the hiring of Erik Ciotti as an assistant coach.
A graduate of Northwestern University, Ciotti enjoyed a productive career as a member of the NU golf team from 1996-99.
As a sophomore, Ciotti was named All-Big Ten after finishing 12th at the Big Ten Championships, while helping lead the Wildcats to a second-place finish. He also placed 17th at the NCAA Championships as NU finished seventh.
During his senior season, Ciotti helped Northwestern win its first Big Ten title in 51 years by finishing 10th at the Big Ten Championships. He concluded his collegiate career by placing 16th at the 1999 NCAA Championships as the Wildcats earned a third-place finish.
"Erik is a great addition to our staff," says Goss. "He has a great appreciation and understanding of what it takes to be a successful Northwestern student-athlete."
Ciotti also enjoyed a successful amateur career. He captured the 1993 Illinois State Junior Amateur title and was the 1995 Illinois State High School champion. In 1997 he won the Illinois State Amateur Championship with a four-round total of 280.
Following his graduation from Northwestern in 1999, Ciotti turned professional and qualified for the U.S. Open held at Pinehurst Country Club. He went on to compete in two PGA Tour events that season.
Ciotti has played as a fully exempt member of the NGA Hooters Tour for the last two years and is a member of the PGA of Australia.
