Two Wrestlers Named Preseason Top 25

Evanston, Ill. - InterMat Wrestling announced their preseason college top 25 this week and two Northwestern wrestlers are on the list.
Senior Matt Huebner was selected 13th at 197. He was a 2000 NCAA qualifier, with a 13-20 mark during his sophomore year. Huebner was on the sidelines last season, recovering from an injury.
Junior John Giacche was ranked 14th at 141-lb. Giacche sat out last season in order to train for the move to 141. He had previously competed at 133, compiling a two-year record of 28-32.
Both wrestlers will have their hands full as four Big Ten wrestler are listed above them in the rankings. In all 63 Big Ten wrestlers appear on the list.
Minnesota will begin the season on top of the team rankings after capturing the national title last year.
