Northwestern enters tonight's game against Iowa with a 4-13 overall record. The Wildcats' Big Ten record went to 0-7 with a 79-47 loss to Minnesota Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats are looking for their first win of the conference season. Emily Butler remains the team's leading scorer, averaging 11.9, ranking 13th in the Big Ten. Leslie Dolland leads the team on the board, pulling down 6.4 caroms per contest.
Iowa (9-8, 4-3 Big Ten)
The Hawkeyes are coming off a 79-64 upset victory over 16th-ranked Penn State on Sunday. Iowa was led by a monster game from senior Randi Peterson, who poured in 16 points and ripped down 16 boards. The backcourt duo of Cara Consuegra and Lindsey Meder each put down 18 points to lead the Hawkeyes. Meder also came down with nine rebounds, while Consuegra handed out six assists and had five steals. Meder leads the team in scoring, averaging 17.9 points per game. On the boards, Peterson is tearing down 8.5 per contest. The Hawkeyes have averaged 75.2 points per contest and have won three of their last five games, defeating Penn State, Wisconsin and Michigan.
