EVANSTON, Ill. - The 16th-ranked Northwestern women's tennis team defeated Utah, 7-0, Sunday afternoon in Salt Lake City. The Wildcats are now 3-0 for the spring season.

Northwestern gained the doubles point to start the day, sweeping all three doubles matches, then won five of the six singles matches in straight sets to punctuate the victory. Jessica Rush was the only Wildcat player extended to a third set, but she defeated Frida Kareld at No. 6 to clinch the sweep.

The Northwestern women will compete in the adidas Classic this weekend.
