Northwestern enters tonight's game against Michigan with a 4-11 overall record. The Wildcats' Big Ten record went to 0-5 with a 94-37 loss at Purdue on Sunday. Michigan enters the game with a 9-7 overall record and a 2-4 mark in the Big Ten. Michigan has won five of its last 10 games, however the Wolverines fell to Ohio State, 76-68, in a tightly contested matchup Sunday afternoon.
Emily Butler remains the Wildcats leading scorer, averaging 13.1 points per contest. Leslie Dolland is leading the team on the boards, pulling down an average of 6.3 rebounds per game.
Michigan (9-7, 2-4 Big Ten) Michigan succumbed in the final minutes to Ohio State, falling 76-68 at Crisler Arena on Sunday. The Wolverines posted a 38-22 advantage on the glass, but committed 20 turnovers, to just 12 by OSU. The Buckeyes also held U-M to 2-of-11 shooting from behind the arc. Michigan was led in scoring by LeeAnn Bies, who finished the day with 18 points. Also contributing for the Wolverines were Stephanie Gandy and Raina Goodlow, who finished with 16 and 10 points, respectively. The Maize and Blue are under the direction of fourth-year head coach Sue Guevara. The Wolverines leading scorer is Bies, who averages 12.2 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. Michigan has three players averaging double figure points.
