EVANSTON, ILL. - The Northwestern basketball games for this weekend have both had time changes. The announcements were made in the last few days.
The men's game at Purdue on Saturday, January 20, has been moved back a half-hour from 3:30 to 4 p.m. central time. This change was made to accomodate local affiliates planning to air the ESPN Regional broadcast of the game. Many local affiliates are also planning to air the inauguration of President-elect George W. Bush, which begins that day at 11 a.m.
The women's game at Minnesota on Sunday, January 21, was moved up two hours and will now start at noon central time at the Gophers' Sports Pavilion. The original time was 2 p.m. central. The change was made to accommodate television, as the game will be broadcast live on FOX Sports Net Chicago.
