EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern University has named its athletes of the week for Sept. 18. The selections were based on athletic action that took place from Sept. 11-17.

MALE -- NAPOLEON HARRIS, FOOTBALL
Junior linebacker Napoleon Harris (Dixmoor, Ill./Thornton Township) had a big day at TCU, despite Northwestern's 41-14 loss to the Horned Frogs. Harris set up the first Wildcat touchdown in the first quarter, intercepting a TCU pass and returning it 25 yards. It was his second interception in as many games. Harris also had 10 tackles on the day.

FEMALE -- ERIKA LANGE, VOLLEYBALL
Freshman Erika Lange (Orland Park, Ill./Carl Sandburg) was voted Most Outstanding Player of the Hampton Inn & Suites Wildcat Classic. Lange is the team's offensive leader, averaging 3.42 kills per game and is second in blocks, averaging 1.32 per game. During the Wildcat Classic, Lange started each match and played every game. She hit a career-high .560 (15-1-25) against Buffalo and led all players with 23 kills against Towson. During the tournament she recorded 20 blocks and 55 kills.
