EVANSTON, Ill. - Nominations for Honorary Membership into the Northwestern Athletic Hall of Fame are now being accepted.

Honorary Membership is for Northwestern alums, coaches or athletic administrators. Alums must have brought distinction to the world of athletics or Northwestern University either during their career at NU or after graduating or leaving the University in good standing. These individuals may or may not have been student-athletes. An example of this Honorary Membership is last year's inductee, Judy Levering -- she did not participate in varsity athletics at NU, but became the president of the USTA.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE GENERAL PUBLIC CAN ONLY MAKE NOMINATIONS FOR HONORARY MEMBERSHIP! This category does not include athletes who excelled in their respective sport while at Northwestern (e.g., All-Big Ten, All-America, etc.).

Nominations must be received in writing by Saturday, September 30. They should be sent to the following address:

JEAN YALE
Northwestern Athletics
1501 Central St.
Evanston, Ill. 60208

All nominations should be supported with as much historical data (records, newspaper clippings, supporting letters, etc.) as possible for consideration by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee. Please note that people who are current employees of the athletic department are not eligible for nomination.
