EVANSTON, Ill. - Brian Walters, a 1999 Northwestern graduate, just missed out on earning a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team Monday night. He placed third in the 200-meter backstroke, clocking 1:59.58, in an event that will send just two U.S. representatives. The result took place at the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials in Indianapolis.
Sophomore-to-be In the morning prelims, Susannah Sample tied for 18th place in the 200-meter backstroke to highlight the action for Northwestern swimmers.
