Katherine Nasser will play singles and doubles this week at NCAA's

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern women's tennis players Katherine Nasser (Arlington Heights, Ill./John Hersey) and Colleen Cheng (Hillsborough, Calif./Burlingame) begin individual play at the NCAA Championships today in Malibu, Calif.

Nasser, who played No. 1 for the Wildcats all season and earned first team All-Big Ten, will play in the singles competition and is scheduled to face Lori Grey of Georgia in the first round today. In doubles, Nasser and Cheng will meet Bradshaw/McCoury of Arizona State later today.

The NCAA Individual Championships continue through the week, with the title matches in both singles and doubles taking place on Friday, May 26.

Last week, the Wildcat team advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Team Championships before being eliminated by eventual champion Stanford.
