EVANSTON, ILL. - The Northwestern women's golf team sits in fourth place after round one of the Indiana Invitational held in Bloomington, Ind. The tournament is taking place at the Indiana University golf course, a par-72, 6,134 yard course. NU shot a first round score of 323 to put them in fourth place. The `Cats are just nine shots behind leader Indiana, (314).
Karen England and Elizabeth Burden lead the way for the Wildcats with both shooting rounds of 80. They are just five strokes behind tournament leader Natalie Tucker of Indiana who shot a first round 75. Christie Hermes shot an opening round 81 to put her in 19th while Emily Gilley shot an 82, good enough for 24th place.
