EVANSTON, Ill. - Despite the absence of former Big Ten Player of the Year Katherine Nasser, the 11th-ranked Northwestern University women's tennis team rolled to a 7-0 win Sunday at Michigan State.

The Wildcats improved to 9-1 (2-0 Big Ten) while the Spartans fell to 1-6 (0-2 Big Ten).

Northwestern got off to a good start Sunday, winning all three doubles matches (including the No. 3 match by default) to gain the first point of the day. The Wildcats then swept the singles matches, taking all of the first four in straight sets and leading the other two when the Spartan players retired.
