Cross Country Taked Third Place at Iowa Invitational

IOWA CITY - Jennifer Anderson extended her streak of top 10 finishes to three-of-three, coming in ninth with a time of 18:59, leading NU to a third-place finish at the Iowa Invitational. Anderson was joined in the top 20 by fellow freshman Cherisse Lancaster, who finished 12th at 19:12, and Mary Beth Ellis whose 19:32 was good for 15th place. The 5,000 meter race was held at the University of Iowa's Finkbine Golf Course.

Other Wildcat finishers were Clarissa Hitchon (25th, 20:07), Janet Solomon (32nd, 20:18), Sarah Davis (34th, 20:19), Whitney Meagher (43rd, 20:35), Laura Lemont (44th, 20:36), Shannon McGowan (45th, 20:38), Bianca Jay (50th, 20:59), Sarah Clark (52nd, 21:08) and Maria Badaracco (60th, 21:33).
