Cross Country Finishes Fourth at Wolf and Kettle Invite

EVANSTON, Ill. - Freshman Jennifer Anderson led the Northwestern women's cross country team to a fourth-place finish in the Wolf and Kettle Cross Country Invitational Saturday in Gilberts, Illinois.
Anderson finished with a time of 19:32, good for second place behind Joanna Deeter of Notre Dame. In two meets so far this year, Anderson has posted two second-place finishes. Cherisse Lancaster finished 10th at 20:31 and Mary Beth Ellis took 19th with a time of 20:49.
The Wildcats finished with 92 points three behind third-place Butler. Notre Dame won the meet with 55 points. Next up for the Wildcats is the Iowa Invitational on Sat., Sept. 19, in Iowa City.
