In the final regular season game for both teams, Northwestern was powered by four home runs, including junior designated hitter Pat Thompson's (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) third in three games, to win 7-4 over Iowa. It was Northwestern's third-straight win over the Hawkeyes. Freshman right-hander Zach Schara (Madison, Wis./West) pitched his third complete game of the season for the win.
