Sam Neider, Drew Pariano Earn Academic All-America Honors

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern seniors Sam Neider (Rocky River, Ohio/St. Edward) and Drew Pariano (Fairview Park, Ohio/Fairview Park) have been named Academic All-Americans by the National Wrestling Coaches Association. The award is given in recognition of their ability to perform in the classroom as well as on the mat.
Neider, who was selected to the Academic All-America second team, earned All-America honors each of the last two seasons and was a four-time NCAA qualifier. He compiled 116 career wins, fifth on Northwestern's all-time list. Neider has a 3.71 GPA in engineering and is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.
Pariano, who earned honorable mention Academic All-America honors, is a three-time NCAA qualifier and has totaled 71 wins in his career. He is also a two-time Academic All-Big Ten recipient and has a 3.16 GPA in Learning and Organizational Change.
