Emily Gilley Ties for Fifth Place at Indiana Invitational

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern freshman women's golfer Emily Gilley (Flossmoor, Ill./ Homewood-Flossmoor) finished in a two-way tie for fifth place at this weekend's Indiana Invitational, played at the Indiana University Golf Course in Bloomington, Ind. Gilley posted rounds of 76-79-78 to finish at 11-over-par 233. Ohio State's Lisa Strom won the tournament in a sudden-death playoff as part of a three-player group to conclude the 54-hole tournament at 231. This marks the sixth time in eight tournaments that Gilley has finished among the top 10 individuals.
The Wildcats finished seventh out of 13 teams with a score of 975. Indiana won the tournament on its home course, posting a total of 934. Complete team and NU's individual totals appear below. Next up for the Wildcat women's golf team is the Hawkeye Invitational, scheduled for April 17-18 in Iowa City.
