Emily Gilley Tied for Third Place at Indiana Invitational

EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern women's golf team stands in seventh place out of 13 teams after two rounds of the Indiana Invitational, being played at the Indiana University Golf Course in Bloomington, Ind. The Wildcats posted rounds of 318 and 330 for a team score of 648. Purdue leads the tournament at 624 with Ohio State in second at 625.

Individually, freshman Emily Gilley is tied for third place, shooting 76-79 for a day-one total of 155. Ohio State's Lisa Strom leads the field at 152 with Minnesota's Kristi Weichert in second at 154.

NU's Christie Hermes also ranks among the tournament leaders, entering Sunday's play tied for seventh at 156 (76-80). Other Wildcat scores from Saturday were Karen England (t38th, 82-84=166), Colleen Kiely (t56th, 84-89=173) and Kristen Lindvall (t64th, 90-87=177). The final round is scheduled for Sunday morning.
