Cross Country Inks Kuznia to Letter of Intent

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern head cross country coach April Ecke announced today the signing of Nicole Kuznia (Olivia, Minn./Bold) to run at NU beginning in the 1999-2000 school year. She is the third member of Ecke's recruiting class, joining Rachel Evjan and Karen Rogers, and chose Northwestern over Minnesota.

Kuznia is a seven-time Minnesota state champion in cross-country and track from 1994-98, and has won 30 conference and sectional championships since 1993. Kuznia is also a 1998 Wendy's Heisman Finalist.

"Nicole's accomplishments speak for themselves," says Ecke. "She will be a great addition to our program."
