Baseball Splits Doubleheader with Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Northwestern split a doubleheader in its second and third consecutive extra-inning games against Purdue. Sophomore Joe Hietpas (Appleton, Wis./North) went 5-for-9 with five RBIs over the two games, hitting a home run in game two. Senior right-hander Phil Rosengren (Barrington, Ill./Rye Country Day) pitched a complete game in game two, giving up five earned runs for the win.
