Baseball Drops Two in Double Header to SLU

HAMMOND, La. - Northwestern dropped its second- and third-straight games against SLU. Northwestern built a 10-1 lead in game one after an eight-run fourth inning, but yielded seven runs in the bottom of the frame. In game two, NU managed to cut a 7-0 Lion lead to 8-6 before falling, 10-6. Junior center fielder Bob Dainton (Mokena, Ill./Lockport Township) went 4-for-9 with four RBIs in the doubleheader, making him 6-for-12 for the series. SLU designated hitter Macky Waguespack hit five home runs in the doubleheader, giving him six for the series.
