Northwestern Falls in Series Finale at No. 10 Indiana

Northwestern falls to 9-20 on the season and 1-11 in Big Ten play, while the Hoosiers improved to 26-6 on the campaign and 6-2 against league opponents.
Jack Claeys paced the Wildcats at the plate with a 2-for-3 performance, which included a pair of singles and a walk. Jack Dunn drove in Northwestern's lone run in the fifth inning with a RBI-double to left center.
Jack Pagliarini (1-3) was credited with the loss, only throwing 2.2 innings and allowing four runs on four hits, while striking out one. Ryan Bader, Sam Lawrence, Danny Katz, JR Reimer, Nick Paciorek each saw relief action.
Cam Beauchamp picked up the win for IU, throwing 5.0 innings and striking out six batters.
After holding the Hoosiers scoreless in the bottom of the first, Indiana scored at least two runs or more in seven straight innings to build its lead.
Northwestern will play Milwaukee at Miller Park on Tuesday, April 17, at 3:30 p.m. CT. The Wildcats will host Michigan State at Miller Park next weekend.
