Pulliam Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week

EVANSTON, Ill. – First-year guard Lindsey Pulliam was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week after scoring a career-high 33 points at Indiana Sunday, the conference announced today.
Pulliam did her damage on 13-of-19 (68 percent) from the field. She reached double figures in scoring for the 18th time this season and crossed the 20-point mark for the fifth time.
The Silver Spring, Maryland, native leads all Big Ten newcomers with 15.0 points per game and ranks third overall in the conference with an 84.8 percent mark from the free-throw line. Her points per game average is the best by a Northwestern first year since Nia Coffey scored 15.3 a game in 2013-14.
Pulliam scored 12 points in the final five minutes of the contest to help erase a 16-point deficit and force overtime on the road. She played all 45 minutes in the game.
Chicago's Big Ten Team next travels to Michigan for a Thursday night contest at 6 p.m. CT. Pulliam scored 15 points in the last matchup at historic Beardsley Gym on Jan. 28.
