EVANSTON, Ill. --
Northwestern junior guards Bryant McIntosh and Scottie Lindsey are All-Big Ten selections as announced by the Conference office Monday.

McIntosh, a native of Greensburg, Indiana, is a consensus second-team selection of the media and the league's head coaches. Lindsey, a native of Hillside, Illinois, is a third-team pick by the coaches and an honorable mention honoree from the media.

It is the first time that Northwestern has landed multiple individuals on the All-Big Ten teams since John Shurna (first team) and Drew Crawford (third team) in 2012.

In addition, redshirt sophomore forward Vic Law is one of five players on the league's All-Defensive Team.

An All-Freshman Team pick in 2015 and a consensus honorable mention all-league pick a year ago, McIntosh leads the Wildcats with averages of 14.6 points and 5.4 assists per game. His assist average leads the league while his scoring mark ranks ninth in the Big Ten. In addition, his .865 free throw percentage is the second-best mark in the conference. McIntosh has been particularly impressive over Northwestern's last 13 contests, averaging 18.3 points and 5.5 assists per game over that span. He topped 20 points in a game eight times during Big Ten play.

Lindsey earns his first All-Big Ten recognition thanks to a breakout season. After averaging 6.4 points per game as a sophomore, Lindsey boosted that average by 9.0 points prior to suffering an illness that has limited him over the last month of the season. His top performance came in the team's Big Ten opener at Penn State when he scored a career-best 31 points. Lindsey reached double figures in scoring in each of NU's first 20 games this season, the longest streak by a Wildcat since John Shurna in 2011-12.

A native of South Holland, Illinois, Law was tasked with defending the opposition's top perimeter player throughout the season and limited those individuals time and time again. He is the first Northwestern player to earn Big Ten All-Defensive Team honors since Jeremy Nash in 2010. Among his top defensive performances were limiting first-team All-Big Ten selections Peter Jok of Iowa and Nate Mason of Minnesota to two field goals apiece in the Wildcats' meetings with the teams. Law ranks second on the team with 5.9 rebounds per game and first with 33 steals.

Redshirt senior Sanjay Lumpkin was recognized as Northwestern's recipient of the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award. The students chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These students must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.
